Day 32 - Happy Halloween

On Monday night the chorus that I'm part of had a bit of a party along with practice. If we so desired we were to come in costume "dressed as a song". I was going to post some pictures from it on Tuesday, but that was when I left my camera at a friend's house... anyway, I figure since they have costumes it works for today as well. Can you guess what songs they are?

Day 31 - Ladybug

Had a few ladybugs in different forms cross my path today and figured that was as good as anything for a theme.

Day 29 - Oops and a Preview

It was bound to happen sooner or later, and today was the day. In carrying my camera around with me everywhere I accidently left it at a friend's house. So, despite having actually had a theme for today in mind I'm left scrambling, and I've decided to give you a peak at the costume my daughter chose for the festivities coming up on Friday.

Day 28 - Books

Going to the library is a weekly (if not bi or tri or quad weekly) event for us. I love the windows and the lighting and the rows of color and new worlds waiting. I especially love that she is learning to love books.

Day 27 - Play

I don't care if it's a bit of a cheat. I took so many pictures today. It started out with just me and my daughter and the ultimate place for "fall/leaf" pictures steps outside our door. We were soon joined by some other neighborhood kids who encouraged her exploration and reveled in a beautiful and sunny fall day.

*disclaimer* I realized that the exposures and contrast levels may leave something to be desired, but it's been a long day and I didn't feel like editing.

Day 26 - Purses

Today I was at a gathering of a bunch of women and thought it would be the perfect opportunity for some different photo subjects. I saw a ton of different purses around and thought that could be really cool - different textures, sizes, colors, and embellishments. Unfortunately it took me until we had been dismissed for the day to work up the courage to go asking perfect strangers "um, hi, would you mind if I took a picture of your purse?" Good times. Fun "crazy lady alert" looks.

Day 25 - Look Up

I almost titled this day "randomly unthematic" which would have been just as fitting.

Day 24 - WARNING

I have no idea why these signs have been catching my eye today, but they have (and secretly, the picture on the last one cracks me up).

Self Advertising - take 2

I've been doing a bit more fleshing out of my offerings for the holiday card promotion I'm running. I've come up with some mix and match options - you can put any of the four finishing styles with any of the four card template options. Day 23 - Re, a drop of golden sun

I've been feeling a bit uninspired (with photography and in just in general) lately, so it's been really hard to come up with challenges every day and then get them posted. However, there was one of those things that caught my photographer's eye and wouldn't let me pass without having it forever. No photoshopping, no color boost, or contrast tweaking, or cropping, or anything. Just the raw beauty of nature and light and color and warmth.
