MOPS Walk

Today I participated in THE GREAT MOMS WALK for my MOPS group. We walked in a local parade in order to raise awareness and support for our group. It was wet and cold and miserable, but the kids were troopers, and the parents were held there by the knowledge of how important our group is in the lives of many moms and their kids.

Here are a few random moments and cute kids.

Anne's Baby Shower

I was at another baby shower this past weekend for another MOPS friend. This amazing mom is about to embark on quite the adventure. Not only is she having her first girl after three boys, being the overachiever that she is, she is having two girls. Identical twin girls. So bring on the pink and flowers.

Vanessa's Baby Shower

I spent part of yesterday afternoon at a baby shower for a MOPS friend. There was the usual games, food and, of course, gifts. It was a celebration of a wonderful mom with a beautiful little girl - and another on the way.

Book Assignment

I've been spending a few random pockets of time helping a friend complete a project for school. The assignment was to write a children's book that in some way addresses domestic violence, but not in a direct way (since, obviously, it would be for kids). Anyway, she had a great idea for a book about a girl finding a snail and coming to realize that sometimes she wish she had a shell that she could hide in when things scare her. My friend asked if I'd be willing to do some pictures for it since in her head the images were black and white photos. However, we ran into some "technical difficulties" since apparently it's not "snail season" so the full finished version will have to wait. However, I thought I'd share a few of my favorite images from the project.

Couple Portraits from CA Destination Wedding

This will be my last installment from the CA wedding. I know there have already been two, but I figured that there wasn't really much of the couple themselves. So, in order to remedy that - here you go...

Product Pics for The Indigo Raven

Recently I did some product pictures for Kristin of The Indigo Raven. On her site she sells everything you need for doing beading crafts. I don't know the name for most of the stuff (other than the beads), but if you're a crafter head on over there and see if you can't find what it is you need for your next project. She has great customer service, and even if she doesn't have what you're looking for I'd be willing to bet she can find it for you.

Coffee Break

I've been dragging a bit lately... needing inspiration, motivation, and some extra energy. And amazingly found coffee sneaking into my life.
