I went to a baby shower this weekend for a friend of mine. You can tell from the haul that she's obviously expecting a girl. I'm hoping to be able to do either a maternity shoot or a newborn shoot for her... or both!
Congratulations Heather!

CA Destination Wedding - Getting Ready
I'm slowly plugging away at the editing from last week's wedding in CA, but I thought I'd post something for those of you who have been waiting to see anything. Here are a few of the "getting ready" pictures.
More of other stuff to come.

Sam & Jonn
Since I was only down for a couple of days I didn't get a chance to do an engagement session with this couple. However, I did my best to take advantage of the few moments that we were all together after the bridal shower the day before the wedding. Introducing Sam and Jonn -
I hope to have a wedding "sneak peak" within the next couple of days.

Samatha's Bridal Shower
Flew into LA on Wednesday and had my first "event photography" session on Thursday. Spent a few hours at a bridal shower for the lovely Sam (who now happens to be my new sister-in-law). It was a time of blessing and an opportunity to love on the bride to be.

Birthday Portraits
Here are a few from her 3-year birthday shoot that I did. I was especially excited since I got to use not only my new lens, but my new soft box lights. In face I postponed the shoot just so I could have them when I did it. I'm glad I waited. It was a fun inaugural run.

Reflection
I got a new lens this past week. It's a 50mm and I've been having fun playing with it. The 1.8 aperture gives me some new "artistic" options. Sadly I haven't really had any new subjects to practice with. It's a good thing my regular subject is easy on the eyes.

Weekend Getaway
I just got back from a weekend with some wonderfully awesome women. We took full advantage of the beautiful weather and went for a walk around the ENTIRE ISLAND (really only about a mile). Being as we were on an island, our walk took a group of us out onto the beach. The beach we were on faced the "mainland", allowing for it to be a fertile beach. The tide was out and we saw thousands of shells, and some even found a few sand-dollars. It was beautiful, relaxing, and just what we all needed.
